Tourism village inaugurated

YOGYAKARTA: In commemoration of World Tourism Day on Monday,
Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Marzuki Usman inaugurated
the Tembi tourist village here.

Located some eight kilometers south of Yogyakarta, the village
will be managed by PT Cipta Desa Wisata, local cooperative Tri
Manunggal, the Institute of Java Studies and local residents.

A television series on art and culture is being shot at the
village and will be broadcast beginning in February next year.
