Top clubs cruise to semifinals

JAKARTA (JP): Gani Artha and NHI 'A', both from Bandung, West
Java, were fighting for the final berth in the men's team of the
fourth Indocement Cup table tennis open tournament here on
Saturday.

Gani Artha, who beat Kuda Laut club 3-0, will challenge host
Tiga Roda 'A' who narrowly defeated favorite Surya 'C' 3-2 in the
quarterfinals on Saturday morning.

NHI 'A' beat another favorite Surya 'B' 3-0 to set up a
semifinal match with Pupuk Kaltim 'A', who beat Spirit 'A' 3-1.

The NHI women's team also manage to beat favorite Surya 'C' 3-
1 to challenge Gani Artha in the final of the tournament, which
has Rp 51.7 million prize money. Gani Artha outclassed another
favorite Surya 'B' 3-0.

The singles and doubles events were still being played as of
press time. The semifinals and finals of all events will be held
on Sunday.(ivy)
