Tommy, where are you?
I could hardly contain my laughter watching the police search for Tommy all over the city, this time using high-tech equipment to detect whether Tommy is hiding underground. Equipped with such devices, Sr. Superintendent Harry Montolalu who led the search expressed his optimism to capture Tommy.
There were a few funny and odd things that I noticed: * As usual, the search was attended by the press and widely broadcast by TV stations. It looked like a TV commercial in a promo campaign for a new product. * The Police should in fact undertake the search discreetly. An undertaking such as this with prior notice given to the press or public could in many cases have a negative result, as experienced in many bomb threat calls. The real explosions were those that occurred without advance notice. * The over-optimism of the police seemed to demonstrate that they had not forgotten their prime target.
I dare bet that the above search was another "planned" failure. So, what's next? Hire more sophisticated equipment, perhaps AWACS or ask some assistance from U.S., British or Israeli intelligence?
