BEKASI: Concern about safety on its toll road, operator PT
Jasa Marga on Thursday evicted at least 60 seasonal vendors
selling large cucumber along the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in
Bekasi.

The fruit is a favorite for the breaking of the fast during
Ramadhan.

"It's also for their safety ... It's dangerous if motorists in
front of us suddenly turn to the left to buy cucumbers," patrol
officer Horison was quoted as saying by Tempointeraktif.com.

"We encourage motorists not to stop while on the toll road. If
they do so, we will penalize them." -- JP
