To my fellow students
During the past two weeks, many newspapers have been reporting on a controversial invitation to hold a dialog between the Armed Forces and students. This invitation to hold a dialog is currently obtaining paramount fame through a sudden plan of holding it on Saturday, April 4, 1998. (As I write this letter, ANteve's evening program Cakrawala is broadcasting a denial from Armed Forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Abdul Wahab Mokodongan that the Saturday dialog is postponed and would be held next month instead).
It seems that this invitation has triggered the emergence of at least two groups among students; one group said "yes" and the other said "no" to the invitation. I realize how hard it is to make a decision these days. I just want to say: Let's not create another ideological breakdown among us.
The main concerns in our rallies are economic, political and legal reforms in order to improve the welfare of our impoverished society.
