TNT relocates Bandung unit
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian venture of the Netherlands-based express courier firm TNT International Express announced on Thursday that it has relocated its Bandung office to a more spacious building located in a more strategic area on Jl. Asia Afrika.
The company said that the move was made in anticipation of growing business opportunities in Bandung as a result of the high level of textile and garment exports from West Java.
"The volume of our parcel business from Bandung to Europe and intra-Asia has been dramatic," the firm said.
TNT has been in the country since 1979 under a partnership with local firm PT Skypack International. The Bandung operation was the second branch opened in 1990 along with the Medan and Surabaya branches.
TNT expects to open its 23rd branch at the end of this year. (rei)
