TNT gets ISO 9002 certificate

JAKARTA (JP): PT TNT Logistics Indonesia, a subsidiary of
Amsterdam-based TNT Post Group N.V. has been awarded ISO 9002
certification for its logistics warehouse operation at milk
powder manufacturer PT Sari Husada in Klaten, Central Java.

The company said in a statement on Thursday that the
certificate emphasized that quality was "a way of life for TNT
and its partners."

The logistics partnership had succeeded in doubling the
warehouse capacity at Sari Husada from 8,000 square meters to
16,000 square meters.

The ISO 9002 audit comprised more than six month of
comprehensive assessment of every aspect in the warehouse
operations -- ranging from work manuals to uniforms and forms, it
said.

TNT Logistics Indonesia started operating in 1995. It has
currently some 300 employees, supported by 14 branches
nationwide. (03)
