TMII essay writing contest

The Ministry of Information and the management of the Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park (TMII) are holding an essay writing contest in celebration of the 20th anniversary of TMII.

The theme of the essay is the sense of belonging to TMII and Indonesian culture. The essay, to be submitted to the committee, should be published by any Indonesian mass media form or news agency during the period of Dec. 1 and Feb. 28, 1995.

The contest is open to all individuals and publishers. They are invited to send the articles to the Ministry of Information's Press and Graphics Supervision Directorate on Jl. Merdeka Barat No.9, Central Jakarta. The winners will be announced by the media on March 27.

Individual participants should enclose their identities and addresses while publishers are required to send three of their best articles to the committee.

The first, second and third place winners will receive, respectively, Rp 1.5 million (US$686) and a personal computer, Rp 1 million and an 18-inch television set and Rp 750,000 and a 14- inch television set. Each of the first, second and third place winning publishers will receive a refrigerator and a radio. (22)
