'Timor Pos' born in East Timor

DILI, East Timor: The new weekly tabloid Timor Pos hit the
streets on Monday, bringing to three the number of locally
produced print media in the province.

The other two are dailies Suara Timor Timur and Novas.

The 16-page tabloid carried in its maiden edition reports
titled, among other things, Can East Timorese Unite? and The
Living Witness of the Santa Cruz Incident.

Sold at Rp 2,500, the tabloid is published by Lilin Timor
Timur Foundation. Its general manager and acting chief editor is
N. Aruan. (swe)
