Tigaraksa Police start work
TANGERANG: The new police station in Tigaraksa, the capital of
Tangerang regency, officially became operational on Monday to
complement Soekarno-Hatta International Airport's police force
and the city police.
Under jurisdiction of newly established Banten province,
Tangerang is gradually separating from the Jakarta
administration, although the district police stations in Ciputat
and Pamulang still fall under the South Jakarta Police.
"We have to improve our performance by establishing more
police stations in areas bordering Jakarta and Tangerang, where
over 4.5 million residents live," Tangerang Police chief Sr.
Comr. Robert Siahaya addressed the inauguration ceremony for the
new force.
The Tigaraksa Police oversees 26 district police stations. --
