Tickets for all

BUSAN, South Korea: Busan citizens do not forget those who are unprivileged by donating Asian Games tickets worth 29.5 million won (US$24,500) for 2,350 people neglected from public attention.

The tickets, contributed to the Busan Metropolitan City on Sept. 24 by Community Chest of Busan, includes the opening and closing ceremonies and South Korea's most popular sports of soccer, baseball and basketball.

Adolescent family breadwinners, elderly citizens living alone, the disabled and low-income households were among the recipients.

Community Chest of Busan had organized several fund-raising activities to buy the tickets called "Buy tickets of international sport games for the disadvantaged".

The organization held similar efforts for the 2002 World Cup worth 86 million won for three matches held in Busan.--JP
