Three teenagers drown in reservoir

KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: The body of three teenagers who
drowned in the Ameroro reservoir were fished out by friends on
Sunday night, Antara reported on Monday.

The tragedy occurred when two 14-year old girls, both members
of a scout team camping in the area, were swimming in the
reservoir when they were suddenly dragged down by the undertow,
according to the Unaaha police.

A passersby, 19-year old Andy Weliam, dove into the water to
try to rescue them, but he too drowned.

Their bodies were sent to the Unaaha General Hospital for
autopsies. (01)
