Three prosecutors demoted in Maluku

AMBON, Maluku: Three prosecutors will be demoted for administrative violations, a press report said yesterday.

The Maluku prosecutors office has also postponed the regular promotion of three court staff for a year for similar offenses, Antara reported.

Maluku prosecutors office chief MW Pattipeilohy said here Tuesday that two of the three prosecutors, whom he did not name, worked for the Ternate district court in northern Maluku. The other one worked for the Masohi district court in Central Maluku.

Pattipeilohy said he would continue to take action against recalcitrant judges and staff of the Ministry of Justice's provincial office. (pan)
