Three killed in truck accident

BOGOR: Three people died instantly, while six others were seriously injured after a truck overturned on Jl. Raya Gunung Sindur in Bogor early on Sunday morning.

The fatalities were Darmawan, 30, Hadi, 20, and Seto, 25.

While those injured were Mardianto, 20, Jumadi, 22, Tursino, 20, Dewanto, 18, Sujono 19 and Warsito, 20, who were rushed to the Red Cross Hospital in Bogor for medical treatment.

Dewanto, one of the victims revealed that dozens of people were on their way home riding on the back of the open truck after watching a dangdut music performance in Kampung Alas Tua, Prumpung village, Gunung Sindur.

Suddenly, the truck which was speeding overturned. The driver, who passengers suspected was under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the vehicle. -- JP
