Three get two years each for assault

TANGERANG: The Tangerang District court sentenced three
domestic helpers to two-year prison terms on Tuesday for
assaulting their younger colleague.

Ciying, 50, Effendi, 26 and Eno Sukaesih, 50, were found
guilty of beating a 14-year-old maid, Sri Mulyanti, in their
employer's house in Karawaci last November, presiding judge Ade
Komarudin said.

The defendants, long-time workers for Mei Ing, 70, attacked
the victim out of envy, because their employer trusted the young
maid more, the judge added.--JP
