Three die after inhaling gas

TEGAL, Central Java: Three men died Friday in Slarang, Tegal,
after inhaling toxic gas emitted from a deep well.

While working in his backyard, Warso smelt a foul odor
coming from his well. He decided to check by climbing into the
well.

After several minutes, Warso was not seen and his unsuspecting
nephew Sawit followed suit in search of his uncle.

Soon after, Sawit started screaming for help, which was heard
by neighbor Zaenuddin.

Zaenuddin approached the well and peered into it. He soon felt
nauseous and fell unconscious.

Another neighbor, Janatin, who had witnessed the scene, then
climbed down the well trying to help, but he soon met the same
fate as Sawit and Warso.

When police arrived at the scene, three victims, Warso, Sawit
and Janatin were found dead inside the well from toxic fumes,
