Three die after eating clams

AMBON, Maluku: Three people were killed and 21 others hospitalized after eating clams that turned out to be poisonous.

Director of the city's general hospital Dr. A. Affifudin was quoted by the Antara news agency as saying that all the victims showed the same symptoms, which included general weakness, nausea, headaches, stomach ache and vomiting. Apparently, all the victims were accustomed to eating the bivalve.

Police are investigating the case. (pwn)
