Three dead after deadly fire

MAKASSAR, South Sulawesi: Three residents burned to dead in a
house on Jl. Andi Tonro in Makassar city on Tuesday night.

They were brothers Ihsan and Syahrul Nur, and their
grandmother Daeng Sugi.

The fire started on the second floor of the house and quickly
spread to other houses in the area. The three apparently failed
to flee the house as fire was too widespread.

The fire was put out an hour later, after the city fire
department arrived at the scene. -- JP
