Three Africans face deportation

JAKARTA (JP): Three Africans will be deported later this week for violating immigration regulations, an official said on Monday.

The three Africans, William Prowd, 23, and Fombah Kromah, 27, from Liberia and Bah Ismaila, 23 from Guinea are now being held at the Immigration quarantine center in Kalideres, West Jakarta, Immigration spokesman M.A. Ghani told journalists.

He said the three Africans were detained by city police last month when the police suspected they were circulating fake dollars in the city.

There wasn't strong evidence to prove the allegation. Police, however, had found that the two Liberians were holding no passports while the Guinean had a passport but did not have proper immigration documents. (01)
