Thieves uninterested in computers

BOGOR: Thieves broke into state high school SMUN 6 on Jl. Walet, Tanah Sereal district, here on Monday night and made away with two televisions and a stereo set, but left the computers untouched.

"I don't know exactly when the burglary took place, we learned about it on Tuesday morning," head of the school's administration Dudin Hasanudin said.

He said the thieves got into the administration room after they broke the window, and proceeded to take the TV and a stereo set before they broke into the school principal's room and took that TV.

There is a computer in both rooms, but the burglars apparently were not interested. They also did not take any of the 20 computers stored in the computer room.

"When I learned about the burglary, I hurriedly went to the computer room, as I was afraid that the computers had gone. But the 20 computers were still there," Dudin said.

It was not the first time that the school, which is located in the upmarket area of Tanah Sareal, has become the target of crime. "Earlier, a student's motorcycle was stolen from the school parking area," he said. --JP
