Thieves get vaginal medicine

BEKASI: City-run Bekasi Hospital was found burglarized on Monday morning, resulting in the loss of 4,500 Metronidazole pills.

The drug is most commonly used to treat vaginal infections.

The hospital security guard, Disyan Victor Unggunau, said the thieves probably broke in to the drug storage room on Sunday, when no staff were working.

"I suspect the burglars entered the hospital by breaking the ceiling of the drug storage room," Victor was quoted as saying by Antara.

The case was later reported to Bekasi police for further investigation.

Also in the day, the hospital security guard caught Achmad, 30, who was allegedly trying to steal boxes of toys belonging to a number of sidewalk toy vendors who sell them at the hospital compound.

Achmad is now in detention at the Bekasi police station. --Antara
