Thief eats gold necklace

JAKARTA (JP): A 30-year old man, duping a prostitute he
patronized on Wednesday, was made to sit by police and defecate
so that a stolen necklace he swallowed could be recovered.

Semarang Police spokesman Capt. Tugas D.A. told Antara that
the thief, identified only as MN, drugged the prostitute, Ti, and
allegedly took the necklace. The girl later reported her
suspicion of MN to the police.

Police took MN to the hospital for an X-ray and found the
missing necklace. (swe)
