The Stage

I am writing in reference to the article Jakarta cafe culture
catches on (Sunday, March 9, page one). The article read: "Beyond
the success of a number of cafes many have also failed. The
Stage, Blue Note, Upstairs, Zach and Metropolis are just a few of
the unsuccessful ventures."

Although we were pleased to read that The Stage's absence has
been noted, we would like to bring to your attention that The
Stage has always been a successful venture. The Stage has been
closed temporarily and will soon reopen on new premises. We would
like to add that this relocation was forced upon us at short
notice, as Ratu Plaza shopping center arbitrarily closed down for
renovations.

The unsubstantiated claim that The Stage has failed could
affect our current negotiations. Therefore we would appreciate
more factual reporting.
