The God Said 'No'

I asked God how to control my anger
God said no.
"It is not for me but you can
control it by eternal power."

I asked God to take away my pride
God said no.
"It is not me to take it away
but for you to give it up."

I asked God to grant me patience
God said no.
"Patience is a byproduct of tribulations
It is not granted, it is earned."

I asked God to give me happiness
God said no.
"I give you blessing;
happiness is up to you."

I asked God to free me from pain
God said no.
"Suffering draws you a part
from world by cares
and brings you closer to me."

I asked God to make my spirit good
God said no.
"You must grow on your own,
but I will pursue to make you faithful."

I asked God to extend me peace of mind
God said no.
"I have given you wisdom;
You should search peace by yourself
in and outside you by noble deeds."

I asked God to give me prosperity and wealth
God said no.
"I have given you resources;
you can earn these worldly things
by yourself."

I asked for all things
that I might enjoy life,
God said no.
"I will give you life
so that you may enjoy all things."

I ask God to help me love others,
as much as He loves me.
God said... "Oh! Yeah,
finally you have the idea."
