The 'Bagito' show insult

I was deeply shocked and disappointed to watch on Oct. 23,
1999 the Bagito show, which was broadcast on Indosiar. In their
performance, the Bagito members blatantly insulted President
Abdurrahman Wahid (or Gus Dur) by imitating the way Gus Dur
behaves in the context of his poor health. The depiction was not
humane and it happened when all people want human rights
earnestly respected.

Basically, we all wish to be blessed with good health.
However, Gus Dur, despite his poor physical condition, has always
been striving for the nation's unity and integrity, as well as
the safety of the people.

So, all TV station managers should carefully consider in
future the material to be aired, following the abuse of human
dignity by the Bagito group.
