The 10 percent tells it all

I would like to add to Pak Gandhi Sukardi's letter to The
Jakarta Post, titled Modest lifestyle called for on Jan. 9, 2002.

What Gandhi Sukardi has written, perhaps, could be summed up
in what Singapore' minister, George Yeo said a few month ago,
that a country could be judged by seeing how the government takes
care of its bottom 10 percent, and how its top 10 percent
lives/behaves.
