I am disappointed with the service of Thai Airways Jakarta
Office, BDN building in Jl. MH Thamrin, as it is not as smooth as
its motto "Smooth as Silk" indicates.

Thai Airways, which claims to be of international standard,
was not willing to take responsibility for a change it made to
its flight paths i.e. the direct flight Hanoi - Jakarta which was
rerouted to Hanoi - Bangkok - Jakarta with an overnight stop in
Bangkok. There were no reasons for the change and no
accommodation or pick-up service provided. In fact, Thai Airways
simply left all its passengers of TG985 in Bangkok facing the
troubles and risks they might come across when searching for
hotels for their unplanned overnight stay.

I did manage to get a room free of charge, but only after I
asked a saleswoman, who at first could only express her deep
apology instead of offering me the accommodation that I needed,
who put me through to her ticketing manager. However, I did have
to find my own way to the hotel, without knowing the exact
location. When I asked whether it was safe to just show the
hotel's address to the taxi driver, the staff said Thai Airways
couldn't guarantee that.

I would like to warn future passengers to prepare some extra
money for such an unpleasant emergency situation.
