Texmaco winds up sporting event

JAKARTA (JP): An art and sports festival organized by Texmaco in Karawang, West Java, ended Monday with the company's Malang, East Java, branch collecting the most medals.

As many as 1,800 employees of the textile company took part in the five-day event held in conjunction with the 53rd anniversary of Indonesia's independence.

Uga Wiranto, wife of Minister of Defense and Security/Armed Forces Commander Gen. Wiranto, led the ministry's women's volleyball team in an exhibition match against the company's team. (yan)
