Texmaco profit rises

JAKARTA (JP): Textile company PT Texmaco Jaya recorded a 45 percent rise in net profit to Rp 29 billion (US$12.2 million) in the first semester of the year from Rp 20 billion in the same period of last year.

The company's sales rose 43.51 percent to Rp 221 billion in the January to June period, the company's president, Marimutu Sinivisan, said in a statement Wednesday.

The increases in sales revenue and profit were caused by a growth in new product sales on the domestic market, he said. (jsk)
