Terror will only produce terror

The sight of hundreds, even thousands of corpses of innocent civilians at the site of the World Trade Center, New York City is not a pretty one. Nor in any other place for that matter. The families of those innocent victims have many reasons for grieving.

However, will this tragedy be the last? Without any change in U.S. policy, I doubt it. I am of the opinion that the U.S. government itself has sowed the seeds of terrorism by unfairly treating many people in the world. Palestinians and Iraqis -- to say the least, have their own, reasonable anger that could be directed toward the U.S. at any moment or opportunity.

Instead of using military muscle to solve everything, why doesn't the U.S. reflect to see what it did wrong in the past and try to stop doing so in the future? This would be the most effective antiterrorist tactic.
