Terror suspects have no lawyers

DENPASAR, Bali: None of the five terror suspects arrested recently in Sukoharjo, Central Java, and transferred to Bali Police Headquarters has hired a lawyer, police said on Monday.

Bali Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Pande Gede Setiawan said the suspects would be given several more days to hire lawyers.

"If they don't appoint any soon, the police will provide them with lawyers," he said.

He warned that the delay in hiring lawyers could delay the whole process of investigation and trial of the suspects. -- Antara
