Tempo announces dividend

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed pharmaceutical and cosmetics producer PT Tempo Scan Pacific said on Friday it had obtained approval from shareholders to pay a dividend of about Rp 22.5 billion, or Rp 50 per share for the 1999 financial year.

The annual shareholders meeting also approved the company's new composition of the board of commissioners.

Serving as the chief of the board is Dian P. Tamzil, with members including Indrawan Roosheroe, Wisnu Katim and Olga Asihjati Adjiputro.

Tempo Scan, which is listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, booked net sales of Rp 1.33 trillion in 1999, about 50 percent increase from Rp 889 billion in the previous year.

The company booked a 75.4 percent increase in net operating profit to Rp 335.2 billion in 1999 from about Rp 191.1 billion in 1998. (udi)
