Telkomsel improves services

JAKARTA (JP): PT Telkomsel, a private company which operates a global system for mobile communications, announced here yesterday that current improvements to its billing system might affect some of its customers.

The company's president, Koesmarihati Soegondo, said Telkomsel users would receive double billing charges next month.

"The charges will include bills for September and October. Those able to pay the bills before the Nov. 15 deadline will not have to pay the monthly service charge of Rp 58,400 in December," she said.

She added that to facilitate billing, Telkomsel had optimized nine service centers in the capital and other cities.

Telkomsel currently has some 389,000 users, about 139,000 are in Greater Jakarta. (icn)
