Telkom employees awarded by U.S.
JAKARTA (JP): The White House, the U.S. presidential residence, has given awards to six employees of the Jakarta chapter of the state-owned telecommunication company PT Telkom for their outstanding work in serving the White House delegation during the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting in Jakarta last month.
The awarded employees are Syahril, the technical manager of Telkom's East Jakarta office and Hadiman, Supriyanto, Rachmad Suryadi, Suherman and Djuhana of the Cawang telephone exchange in East Jakarta.
According to Al Keeler, the White House communications officer, the six employees are being awarded because they served the APEC delegates with professionalism and a good attitude.
Ipit Fitriana, spokesperson of Telkom's Jakarta chapter, said yesterday that the six employees deserve the awards. Their accomplishments were supported by the outcome of serious preparations, in which other employees were involved in too, she said. (mas)
