Telkom certifies Nokia

JAKARTA (JP): Finnish telecommunications company Nokia has received a quality certificate from state telecommunications company PT Telkom for its V5.2 Access Network product, the company said on Thursday.

The V5.2 Access Network product is an international open standard for switch to access interfaces, which allows an operator to connect one company switches with another supplier's access networks.

President of Nokia Telecommunications Indonesia Nils Kampe says Nokia is the first foreign vendor in the country to receive such certification.

The certificate confirms the good performance of Nokia's V5.2 Access Network for use by telecommunications companies throughout the country, he said.

Nokia is one of the world's leading suppliers of mobile phone and fixed telecommunications networks. (jsk)
