Telecom, IT expo in May

JAKARTA (JP): About 150 information technology companies from
around the world are expected to attend the International
Telecommunications and Information Technology Expo, to be held
here from May 11 to May 14.

Event organizer Moh. Ruslim said confirmed participants in
Telematika Expo 2000 included Siemens of Germany, Ericsson of
Sweden, Alcatel of France, Nortel Network of Norway, China Inform
Communications of China and Gillet Network Satellite of Israel.

He said the companies would exhibit products attesting to
developing trends in information technology, as well as advanced
services and products.

A seminar is also scheduled on new developments in information
technology and prospects and challenges in telecommunications and
