Teenager held for divulging exam

PALU, Central Sulawesi: A teenager was detained over the
weekend for allegedly divulging the answers to the high school's
national chemistry examination in May.

South Sulawesi Provincial Police Spokesman Maj. Razali said
that the suspect NN, 18, is being released on bail given her
parents' prominent status.

Razali alleged that the suspect stole a copy of the test from
her father's office. She photocopied and disseminated the
questions and answers to her friends and sold them to others for
between Rp 25,000 (US$10.70) and several hundreds of thousands of
rupiah, Antara reported.

A student at a state high school in Palu was the first to
bring the matter to the attention of a local journalist. An
investigation followed. Fifteen students from three different
high schools were questioned, who said that they received the
answers several days before the exam was held on May 10.

The exam was declared invalid and repeated on May 15. (14)
