Teacher kills colleague

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing a fellow elementary school teacher to death in Labuhan Batu district last week.

Police said the man stabbed Mabiah Rambe repeatedly with a knife during a bitter argument in their office just as pupils were arriving at school in the morning.

Rambe, who sustained seven stab wounds to her body, died on the way to the hospital, Antara reported.

In the preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted to having killed Rambe. Police have not disclosed any motive for the killing. (pan)
