Teacher gets two months

MEDAN, North Sumatra: An elementary school teacher, Dolinsius Napitupulu, was sentenced to two months in jail yesterday for hurling dirty words at his brother-in-law, Dosni Nadeak.

"Such profanities are unbecoming of an educator," said Judge Sukma as he handed down the sentence to Dolinsius.

The incident took place in December when Dolinsius, 37, berated Dosni, 45, who had forgotten to return a traditional handmade ulos scarf borrowed from Dolinsius' wife.

As reported by Antara, the judge in his verdict said that as a teacher, Dolinsius should be a role model for others to follow, not a source of profanity. (mds)
