Taufik cancel visit after plane trouble

JAKARTA: First gentleman Taufik Kiemas canceled his visit to
Manado, North Sulawesi on Monday after the engine of plane he
boarded from Singapore developed a trouble.

"The Silk Air plane that he boarded developed an engine
trouble one and a half hours into flight, prompting them to
return to Singapore," his confidante Tjahyo Kumolo said on Monday
in Manado.

Tjahyo said Taufik, who wnt to Singapore for medical check up,
extended his apology to Manadonese for failing to attend Manado's
380th anniversary as planned.

Aside from attending the celebration, Taufik was scheduled to
hold a meeting with religious leaders in the province and opened
an art festival organized in conjuction with the anniversary
