Tangerang crowns 6 model students

TANGERANG: Following a series of tests, the Tangerang
administration crowned on Monday six students as the "best in the
regency".

The students are Dwi Mustika Handayani of Puspitek state
elementary school in Cisauk, A. Fariz Arifin of Al-Azhar Islamic
elementary school, Ferninda Perticya of Santa Ursula junior high
school in Serpong, Oxavia Aldianto of Bintaro Al-Azhar junior
high school in Pondok Aren, and Dian Merdeka Sari and Rodyan
Gibran of Insan Cendakia high school in Serpong.

An official from the local education agency, Tuty Sujana, said
the students had passed written tests, group discussions and
interviews with the judges.

"The judges awarded points on how they delivered their
arguments and answers ... they also had to be able to sing or
perform traditional dances or do some other kind of art
performance," she said. -- JP
