Starting from Oct.15, 2005, Nadaman will serve very special oysters that have been freshly caught from Hiroshima and Miyagi in the Japanese pacific Rim.

Japanese Oysters are a seasonal delicacy and a very famous dish in Japan.

This oyster is rich in three substances that are considered to hold the secret of longevity: zinc, chromium and selenium.

Nadaman will serve this oyster authentically in Kaki Chawan Mushi (oyster with steamed egg custard), Kaki Nabe (vegetables), Kaki Tempura, Kaki Furai or Kaki Kamadaki (steamed rice) at prices starting from Rp 60,000 (US$6).

The restaurant opens daily during lunch (11.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner (6 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.).

Human creation in artwork

Three artists will display various art works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings and installations at an exhibition titled RIPE: Harvesting Meaning From Motherhood.

The artists are Christine Cocca (United States), Mella Jaarsma (Netherlands) and Deborah Nolan (Canada). They live and work in Indonesia.

The exhibition that takes place at Bentara Budaya Jakarta will run from Oct. 7 through Oct. 16.

The works to be displayed are about human creation from the perspective of mothers.

Although they do not collaborate, their works reflect their artistic interaction and creative partnership.
