Taiwanese mission due here
JAKARTA (JP): Chairman of Taiwan's Council of Economic Planning and Development P.K. Chiang will lead a trade delegation from Taiwan on a two-day visit here to examine the country's business environment.
The delegation is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. They will conduct individual meetings with their Indonesian counterparts, the Taipei Economic and Trade Office said yesterday.
It said they would learn how their counterparts operated businesses and coped with the financial crisis.
The delegation is comprised of business owners and executives from banking, financial, electronics, computer, textile, food and plastic industries.
Some delegation members who have already launched investment projects in Indonesia will inspect the crisis' impact on their Jakarta branches.
