Table setting and food festival 2000

JAKARTA (JP): A four-day table setting and food festival is
scheduled to be held from Thursday at Bidakara Hotel on Jl. Gatot
Subroto in South Jakarta. The event was conceived to raise funds
for health and scholarships, the organizers said.

In a press statement, organizers Sekar Saji Nusantara
Foundation said the festival, to be opened by First Lady Sinta
Nuriyah, was also meant to promote Indonesian culture through
culinary experiences.

"The foundation chose activities that are not energy or time
consuming, but attractive for raising funds for charity," the
release said.

Founded on June 29, 1995, the foundation previously launched a
culinary book to raise funds for charity.
