Sympathy for animals

I was excited to read about "Friends of the zoo" in your letters section (Feb. 8, 1999) and to read about our school's contribution to the big cats.

We tried to raise Rp 10 million, but were a bit short so we had to "bake sale" not to "book sale" ("bake sale" = the children bake cookies and cakes and sell them at school). The fifth grade bake sale raised more than we needed and the money we had left will be going to an orphanage.
