Syamsul Mu'arif enjoys a free drink

JAKARTA: Who would want to miss out on a free drink? Not Minister
of Communications and Information Syamsul Mu'arif, who joined
other MPR members in enjoying the free drinks offered by several
traditional herbal medicine producers.

Before entering the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR)
meeting hall on Friday, the minister visited the Nyonya Meneer
traditional jamu (herbal medicine) booth for a glass of jamu.

"I feel instantly refreshed," said Syamsul, as the women who
attended the booth laughed.

After having a glassful of jamu, the deputy secretary-general
of the Golkar Party visited other booths, including the mini
studios of private television stations RCTI and Lativi. -- JP
