Suwito wins world boxing title

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's Suwito Lagola reclaimed his World
Boxing Federation (WBF) welterweight title last night in a tough
match against American's Jaime Larma.

Suwito, won by unanimous decision after a tough 12-round bout.

The 26-year Indonesian was stripped of his title which he won
in October last year after he refused a rematch against Magahin
of the Philippines.

Suwito received US$7,500 for last night's bout while Lerma,
who is two years his junior, pocketed $20,000.

The victory brought his record to 21-2, with eight of the
victories within the distance. (amd/emb)
