Suspects 'mark up US$50m in KBC

JAKARTA: Three suspects in the Karaha Bodas project are accused of markups in the range of US$50 million, police said Friday.

"The markups mean there was corruption in the project," said National police director of corruption division Brig. Gen. Indarto.

The three suspects were identified as Pertamina's former geothermal division head Priyanto, staff member Syafei Sulaiman and American Robert D. McCutchen.

Indarto said that they had collected all necessary evidence and planned to submit their case file to the prosecutor's office next week. --JP
