Susilo team accused of illegal campaigning

SEMARANG: Members of presidential candidate Susilo Bambang
Yudhoyono (SBY)'s campaign team have been accused of violating
the election law by distributing 600 notebooks bearing Susilo's
picture in several regencies in Central Java.

A member of the province's Election Supervisory Committee,
Ahsanul Minan, said on Monday the SBY Fan Club was also involved
in money politics by providing scholarships to elementary school
students ahead of the Sept. 20 presidential runoff.

"Based on our findings, we have concluded that there are
indications of campaign law violations over the distributions of
the notebooks and money politics," he said. --JP
