Susanto wins in boys contest

JAKARTA (JP): Susanto Megaranto of Indonesia produced his second victory in the Asian Continental Boys Under-16 Championships at the National Power Corporation (NPC) training center at Bataan, in the Philippines on Wednesday.

Top seeded Susanto defeated host player John Paul Gomez on the 31st move using his Sicily Sveshnikov defense.

Four players managed to earn two points in the second round. They are Susanto, Tranh Anh Tri of Vietnam, Leong Luke of Singapore and Severino Zander of the Philippines. (yan)
